Conceptualization -

 To immortalize “Gangubai Hangal” one  should go through stages of perceiving  Gangubhai - The immortal one  synonymous with Naada,- Brahma,  sur- taal, laya, guru shishya-  parampara and sadhana.

 This is an a academy of music with a  difference- a sentiment that dwells in  contemplating her emotional ties with  music and her “Karmabhoomi”  resonating into an symphony  translated through a highly symbolic  built form.

 Located on the bank of historic Unkal  lake the campus is proposed on a ten  acre site comprising of activities  involving performance, training display  and craftsmanship.
 Translated esoterically into a edifice  resembling a “Tanpura” the built form  seeks to pay homage to one of the  greatest living legends of music.
